Members of the Quality and Patient Safety Department served as SMEs.
Draft product went to applicable committees for review.
One hospital unit volunteered to host the roll-out as a process improvement project.
Nurses from the target unit provided feedback at three points- once before implementation and twice afterwards.
Data Findings
At the second of two post-implementation points, nurses were twice as likely to rate themselves as "very satisfied" with their access to core measure resources.
Nurses' reliance on asking a colleague for information decreased 10%.
Continued Use
The Nurse Manager supplied all existing staff with a card set, and distributed copies to new hires until the original print quantity was exhausted.
Subsequently, in early 2022, the Nurse Manager contacted me asking about obtaining additional quantities to respond to demand for the resource from new hires.
